If only this Greek philosopher could have tried CrossFit, huh? Being the history and fitness nerd that I am, I connect deeply to the idea of constantly pushing the limits of your mental and physical threshold.
I danced competitively for 15 years and could be found in the studio 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week but when I moved to Connecticut for college, all physical activity came to a startling halt. In the 5 years that followed, I attempted various gym routines but nothing seemed to quench my thirst for high-intensity training and a sense of community.
Needless to say, after my first CrossFit class I was all in!
As a coach, my goal is to motivate each individual to set goals and be able to work toward them in a safe, positive environment. As a former teacher, I am detail-oriented and focus on promoting proper form and technique in all movements. You will often hear me encourage classes to track their progress and continuously set new goals- from increasing weight on a lift to simply not giving up during a workout.
I am so grateful to be a part of the CrossFit Meriden community-it’s more than just a gym; it’s truly a family.
